New Vinyl Fence and Retaining Wall That Actually Works

Some yards have a grade change along the property line that makes fencing tricky. You can't just drop posts and call it a day - you need a solid foundation underneath, or the whole thing looks sloppy and shifts over time. That's exactly the kind of situation this yard had going on.

We paired a concrete retaining wall along the base with a full run of white vinyl privacy fencing. The retaining wall handles the grade change and gives the fence a clean, level line to follow from one end of the yard to the other. No gaps at the bottom, no uneven panels - just a straight, finished edge that looks intentional.

Vinyl is one of our favorite materials for a setup like this. It doesn't rot, doesn't need to be painted, and holds up through whatever weather comes its way. The white finish keeps things looking sharp against the green lawn, and the retaining wall below ties it all together into something that feels permanent and well thought out.

The practical side of this matters just as much as how it looks. A defined fence line gives you privacy, keeps the yard contained, and makes lawn care easier - no more trimming around a messy or uneven boundary. When the structure is solid and the lines are clean, maintaining the rest of the yard becomes a lot more straightforward.

This is the kind of work that changes how a yard feels to use. It adds structure where there wasn't any, and it does it in a way that's built to last.
